Thurs. and Fri. we will begin working on chapter one together in class.
If you wish to work ahead we will read the text and complete the workbook in order from the beginning. The first test on chapter one is planned for Fri. Aug. 26th.

Seventh Language Arts
Language arts includes reading, English, vocabulary, and writing. We will have two periods together. I try to post all of the work we will be doing in each category on this blog weekly (usually Sunday evenings). With the exception of writing projects, much of the time we will complete this work in class. If not it becomes homework. Students should have a book to read in class. We will have two book tests or projects per quarter on outside reading material. The first book assignment is a biography. I will have many for you to choose from on Tuesday. You may bring your own if you wish.

OLM Students may help the people of Haiti, devastated by the recent earthquake, by bringing at least one dollar to school on Friday, January 15th. For at least one dollar the students may also wear free approppriate dress. Please feel free to donate more than one dollar. The proceeds from Friday's snack sale will also go to help the Haitians. The money will be given to Catholic Charities Funds for Haiti and the Red Cross. Thanks for your help and please remember to keep the Haitians and all of those who are helping in your prayers. I will post homework here on Sundays every week for fourth grade and seventh grade language arts, sixth grade science, and eighth grade art.

Fourth Grade
This week Mrs. M. has prepared some evaluation worksheets. If they are not completed in class they will be homework. Check planners. Rajah's Rice will be read together in class from the reading book. Some workbook pages will also be covered.
Directions paragraph will be explained in class and will be due on Fri.

We will finish filming the weather reports and watch them on Tuesday.
If we have time we will read ch. 14 in social studies.
Have a great summer!

Seventh Grade
You will need a lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday.
We will finish Dragon Wings on Tuesday and do a bit of English. You will have regular classes on Tues.
Please be at St. Patrick's by 6:30 for Mass.
You will be at the dance until about 12:30. Make sure someone will be there to pick you up.
You must be at school on Wed. by 9:00 a.m. At that time we will practice the Mass and clean our desks and cover our books.
Thursday we will finish any cleaning before field day activities.
Friday we will have Mass and then you will get your report cards.
Dismissal is at 10:00 a.m.
