Sixth Grade Science
We want to start a salt crystal garden. If you can please bring small porous items such as coal, charcoal, porous brick pieces, tile, cement. or sponge. Please bring a disposable pie tin if you have one.
Computer and Lab start this week.
No vocab cards required for chapter two. No test on Chapter two.
Mon: Read pp. 34-39. Answer questions p. 39 1-5. Wkbk. Sect. 1 all due Wed.
Wed: Read pp. 40-45. Answer questions p. 45 1-4. Wkbk. Sect. 2 all due Thurs.

Homework August 13-17

Welcome to the 80th year at OLM!
Sixth Grade Science
The workbooks will be done along with our regular work in the text. If you wish to work ahead, feel free. I will periodically check the workbooks and we will grade some preassigned work from the workbook in class.
You will also be required to keep a science journal which I will provide. We will keep these in the science room.
Regular classes will always meet in room 11. On lab days we will go to room 13.
Tues: Together we will read pp. 4-5 Home/Class work Read pp. 6-11 Questions 1-4 p. 11 Due Wed.
Wed: Terms from chapter 1 due on notecards Wed, Aug. 22nd.
Wkbk. pp. 1-3 due Th. Read pp. 12-17 in text due Th.
Thurs: p. 17 questions 1-4 due Fri. Wkbk. pp. 4-5 due Fri.
Some class time will be given for some of the above work. Fridays will be given for working on vocabulary cards.

Eighth Grade Language Arts
Reading/English
Tues: Read pp. 498-505 due Wed. Eng. p. 15 9-26all due Wed.
Wed: Read pp. 507-511 due Thurs. Write 4 sentences from story; one interrogative, one declarative, one eplanatory, and one imperative. Draw a line between the complete subject and complete predicate of each.
Thurs: Read pp. 512-519 due Fri. Choose four sentences from reading; diagram the simple subjects and simple predicates of each.

My Space Sheets due on Monday 8/20.
Newspaper Handout on Tues. groups due on Wed.
